General elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina are scheduled to be held on October 4, 2026, including the election of the President and two Vice-Presidents of the political entity of Republika Srpska. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate elected to serve as President of Republika Srpska as a result of this election. A candidate elected as a Vice-President of Republika Srpska will not count. Interim, temporary, or acting Presidents of Republika Srpska will not count. If no such President has been elected by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (izbori.ba); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026 Republika Srpska presidential contest features a narrow trader consensus between SNSD nominee and current Prime Minister Savo Minić and SDS candidate Branko Blanuša, with other declared contenders trailing sharply. The tightness reflects entrenched party structures following the 2025–26 early election, in which SNSD’s Siniša Karan prevailed by roughly two points over Blanuša after repeat voting in disputed polling stations and opposition fraud allegations. Minić benefits from SNSD’s governing apparatus and coalition backing, while Blanuša draws consolidated opposition support, including from PDP and smaller parties, and stronger performance in major urban centers such as Banja Luka. Low turnout patterns, ethnic voting blocs for vice-presidential positions, and ongoing institutional tensions around entity autonomy continue to limit separation. Further campaign developments, National Assembly vote outcomes on the same ballot, or shifts in coalition discipline could widen the gap before the October 4 vote.
