**Recent expansions in the Berlin electorate and heightened campaign dynamics support the strong trader consensus favoring higher turnout in the September 20, 2026, Abgeordnetenhaus election.** The 2023 repeat election recorded 62.9% participation among roughly 2.43 million eligible voters. For 2026, officials project around 2.5 million eligible voters, driven by increased naturalizations and, for the first time, voting rights extended to 16- and 17-year-olds. District assembly elections held concurrently further broaden participation, including for EU citizens. Polls reflect a competitive contest with notable shifts among parties such as the CDU, Linke, and AfD, alongside intensified get-out-the-vote efforts ahead of the vote. These structural and mobilization factors underpin the 93.5% implied probability for turnout rising relative to 2023.
