Novak Djokovic, at age 39 and ranked No. 5, continues competing on the ATP Tour without retirement signals, having reached the 2026 Australian Open final, a French Open third round, and Wimbledon semifinal. He has repeatedly stated no immediate plans to walk away, targeting a 2028 Olympic farewell in Los Angeles while expressing interest in returning to Wimbledon. Recent post-match comments after the 2026 Wimbledon loss to Jannik Sinner reinforced this outlook, noting the career end feels closer yet affirming his ability to compete at the top level. Market-implied probabilities reflect trader consensus around these public statements, recent major results, and his ongoing schedule, with any shift likely tied to performance in the upcoming US Open or injury developments.

To resolve "Yes", the announcement must clearly state that Novak Djokovic is retiring or indefinitely departing from ATP Tour professional tennis with intention of not participating in any event that contributes to an ATP ranking. The announcement must come from Novak Djokovic or official representatives thereof.
Only announcements which are framed as announcing a departure from professional competition intended to be effective within 12 months of the date of the announcement will qualify (e.g., neither "I will leave competition in 2 years," nor "I will not play forever," would qualify).
If Djokovic retires in a qualifying manner but maintains, renews, or announces his intention to participate in the Olympics, that retirement will still qualify. Olympic participation, or participation in a tennis competition which does not contribute to an ATP ranking, will have no bearing on this market.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official statements from the named individual or authorized representatives thereof.
