This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records 461 or more total kills across all maps played during VALORANT Champions 2026 (also known as VCT Champions 2026), currently scheduled for September 24 to October 18, 2026, in Shanghai, China, breaking the record for the most kills by a single player at a VALORANT Champions event. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The current record is 460 kills, set by Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker (OpTic Gaming) at VALORANT Champions 2022, according to vlr.gg. Kills recorded in overtime rounds count. Only completed maps count. Exactly 460 kills would tie, not break, the record and would resolve this market to "No". If VALORANT Champions 2026 is canceled, or is postponed such that it has not concluded by November 17, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be the vlr.gg event stats page (https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/2766/valorant-champions-2026). However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 50% implied probability on a player surpassing yay’s 460-kill benchmark from VALORANT Champions 2022 reflects a balanced field where the record remains intact despite deeper international tournaments and consistent high-output duelists. Star performers such as aspas, ZmjjKK, and emerging Pacific or Chinese-region entries have posted totals in the 390–420 range in recent editions, but the 2026 Shanghai format—four-team GSL groups followed by double-elimination playoffs with multiple best-of-five series—requires sustained deep runs and high map volume to approach or exceed the mark. Recent VCT form shows narrowing regional gaps and elevated individual ACS from players like Cryo and lukxo, yet the record’s durability stems from its combination of volume and efficiency in an era of tighter macro play. A prolonged playoff path by an aggressive entry fragger on a favored roster or an extended best-of-five grand final could shift sentiment, while early exits or defensive meta shifts would reinforce the status quo.
