This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 American Conference Football Championship, determining the champion of the American Conference for the 2026 college football season, currently scheduled for December 5, 2026. If this championship is postponed after December 19, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other." If multiple teams are declared co-champions, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the American Conference (https://theamerican.org); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026 American Athletic Conference title race features significant parity among a cluster of contenders, with preseason projections from multiple outlets highlighting six teams separated by narrow margins in expected production and conference standings. Navy benefits from a relatively favorable schedule and strong returning production on both sides of the ball, while UTSA leverages offensive continuity led by quarterback Owen McCown and prior conference success. East Carolina, Army, Memphis, and Tulane also project closely behind due to roster depth, coaching stability, and schedule positioning, creating a wide distribution of implied probabilities that reflects the lack of a clear frontrunner. This competitive balance, typical of Group of Five conferences with multiple viable paths to the top, keeps early market pricing tightly grouped across the top options ahead of the season opener.
