The postponement of Lebanon's parliamentary elections from May 2026 to 2028, driven by the ongoing war with Israel and Hezbollah, has created deep uncertainty that fragments trader consensus across more than twenty listed parties. Amal Movement edges ahead at 0.9% amid its established Shia alliance role, yet Hezbollah and most Christian, Druze, and reformist groups sit near 0.1-0.2% as security disruptions, displacement, and reconstruction needs reshape voter priorities in affected regions. Key differentiators include alliance cohesion, positions on disarmament and diaspora voting rules, and the splintering of 2022 change independents, with consolidation behind any outcome likely hinging on ceasefire stability, electoral law adjustments, or new coalition formations before the rescheduled vote.
