KB Home's upcoming Q3 2026 earnings release on September 22 carries a 64% market-implied probability of missing consensus estimates, driven primarily by persistent housing market pressures including elevated mortgage rates and affordability constraints that weighed on Q2 results. The company posted a mixed Q2 with revenue of $1.11 billion slightly above estimates but EPS of $0.43 missing by about 6%, reflecting a 27% year-over-year revenue decline, compressed housing gross margins near 15.2%, and lower deliveries. Management's Q3 guidance targets sequential improvement in revenues to $1.20–1.35 billion and margins of 16.0–16.6% through a higher built-to-order mix, yet analysts highlight risks from cautious buyer sentiment and volume uncertainty ahead of the report. Trader consensus reflects these fundamentals alongside the company's recent shift toward operational efficiency and backlog conversion.
