**Trader consensus heavily favors an 88–89°F high for Denver on September 16 due to persistent above-normal warmth throughout early-to-mid September and model guidance projecting continued warm advection ahead of the date.** Official National Weather Service climate normals place the daily average high near 80°F, yet recent observations and short-range forecasts from NWS Boulder showed temperatures several degrees above that baseline, with some guidance reaching the upper 80s under mostly sunny or partly cloudy conditions and light winds. The market-implied probability above 99% reflects traders’ assessment of these atmospheric patterns and historical analogs from warm Septembers, while acknowledging model spread and potential for afternoon convection or slight cooling to alter the exact peak. Resolution hinges on the official Denver observation, typically at Denver International Airport, with minimal realistic pathways below the mid-80s given the established warm regime.
