Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to overnight lows in the upper 50s Fahrenheit for San Francisco on September 18, driven by persistent onshore westerly flow and a lingering marine layer that limits radiative cooling under partly cloudy skies. This pattern follows a mid-September shift from warmer, clearer conditions, with recent observations showing daily lows of 56–59°F amid increased Pacific moisture and lighter winds. Historical September averages near 55.8°F provide context, though current steering patterns and dew points in the mid-50s reduce the chance of deeper cooling below 56°F. Updated NWS point forecasts and next model runs will refine resolution criteria for the 58–59°F bin, currently holding the highest market-implied odds.
