This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed club is determined as the runner-up of the Primeira Liga for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Primeira Liga for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Primeira Liga (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the Primeira Liga; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026-27 Primeira Liga runner-up market reflects pronounced parity among Portugal’s traditional powers and several mid-tier sides, with the three giants—defending champions Porto, Sporting CP, and Benfica—projected within a few percentage points of one another in pre-season models after Porto’s narrow 2025-26 title win. Early matchday results have reinforced this balance, as Porto claimed victory while Sporting and Benfica drew, leaving all three with comparable early momentum and fixture schedules that feature multiple direct clashes. Braga and Vitória de Guimarães retain realistic pathways through squad continuity and European commitments, while promoted or resurgent clubs add further variance in a league historically decided by small margins and late-season swings. With the campaign only days old, limited injury clarity and transfer-window developments continue to sustain broad trader consensus on an open race.
