Stefanos Tsitsipas enters the first-round matchup at the 2026 National Bank Open in Montreal as the heavy favorite after capturing an ATP title in Gstaad last month. The Greek player brings superior experience and ranking points into the hard-court contest against qualifier Martin Damm, a 203 cm American ranked near 104 who relies on a potent serve. This marks their first meeting, with Damm showing mixed recent results that include qualifier wins but limited main-draw success. Tsitsipas has never advanced past the opening round at this venue previously, while Damm’s height and serving could extend sets on the outdoor surface. Market pricing reflects traders’ consensus on the significant experience and form gap.
