Recent polling from sources including Pew, Yale, and Third Way shows Democratic candidates leading Republicans by double-digit margins among young men (ages 18-29) on the generic congressional ballot, with leads reaching 30 points among likely midterm voters. This positioning stems from declining Trump approval ratings among voters under 35, reaching net negative 44 points in August 2026 surveys, alongside reported disillusionment over economic conditions and policy delivery since 2024. Shifts toward Democrats appear most pronounced among men ages 23-29, though younger cohorts and turnout patterns remain variables. The wisdom of crowds in current pricing aligns with these trends while accounting for historical midterm volatility and undecided shares in early surveys.
