This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 Associated Press (AP) NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award for the 2026-27 NFL season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by NFL rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026-27 NFL season is cancelled, postponed after February 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026 NFL Draft produced unusual depth at defensive positions, leaving multiple first-round edge rushers, linebackers, and defensive backs with comparable paths to immediate snaps and production. David Bailey (Jets), Rueben Bain Jr. (Buccaneers), Arvell Reese, Sonny Styles, Caleb Downs, and Mansoor Delane headline the group, each joining defenses that project to generate pressure or coverage opportunities without entrenched veterans blocking their path. Preseason roster battles, scheme fit, and early injury or performance variance remain unresolved, so trader consensus reflects this broad field rather than any single standout. Historical rookie award races frequently tighten or shift once training-camp reps and Week 1 usage clarify roles.
