Arsenal's commanding market position stems from their sustained defensive dominance, with the Gunners conceding just one goal across their opening four Premier League fixtures in 2026-27 while securing multiple clean sheets against Coventry City, Aston Villa, and Sunderland. This builds on their record from the prior campaign, where they led the league in shutouts amid low expected goals against, anchored by center-backs William Saliba and Gabriel, goalkeeper David Raya, and midfield protection from Declan Rice. Pre-season projections and early-season data position them for the highest projected clean-sheet total, reflecting squad continuity and tactical organization under Mikel Arteta. Manchester City and Chelsea trail as secondary options due to comparatively higher goals conceded and less consistent recent form, while the broader field remains tightly bunched given the season's early stage and variable fixture schedules.
