The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Hungary; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Hungary's next presidential election, set for 2029 under current term limits, remains highly uncertain following the April 2026 parliamentary vote that installed Péter Magyar's Tisza-led government with a strong National Assembly majority. The largely ceremonial presidency is chosen by parliament, giving the new coalition substantial influence over candidate selection, yet no frontrunner has consolidated support amid a wide field of speculative names from politics, academia, and public life. Trader consensus reflects this openness, with numerous outcomes clustered near even odds due to the distant timeline and absence of formal nominations or party endorsements. Potential catalysts for separation include government signaling on preferred profiles, coalition negotiations, or public positioning by figures who could command cross-party backing in the legislature.
