Strong sell-through rates above 99 percent on recent estate lots, combined with average auction prices that have nearly doubled year-over-year, reflect sustained collector demand for Pop works. The timing—just days before the Whitney Museum’s major Lichtenstein survey opens on October 11—adds visibility and could support bidding, though estimates for many pieces in the curated sale range from $500,000 to $1.5 million.
