Nominees for the 2026 CMA New Artist of the Year were announced September 10, creating the primary catalyst for current trader positioning on the five finalists. Stephen Wilson Jr. holds the highest implied probability at 41.5% amid his four total CMA nods, including Song and Music Video of the Year for “Gary,” which signals strong industry momentum and critical reception. Tucker Wetmore sits close behind at 37.5%, supported by his earlier ACM win in the category and consistent chart traction. Emily Ann Roberts, Carter Faith, and Avery Anna trail at single-digit levels, reflecting narrower voter bases and less crossover visibility so far. The November 18 ceremony remains the key resolution date, with guild and precursor signals likely to influence late shifts in this tightly contested field.
