The Hungarian NB I title race entering the 2026-27 season features an unusually open field, reflected in the market's tight clustering of implied probabilities across a dozen clubs. Defending champions Győri ETO FC carry momentum from last year's success and defensive organization, while Ferencvárosi TC's deeper squad and European experience keep them competitive despite a sluggish start and fixture congestion. Early table leaders like Puskás Akadémia, alongside consistent sides such as Paksi SE and MTK Budapest, benefit from strong recent form and squad continuity. Promoted Vasas and returning sides like Újpest add further parity through solid pre-season results and home advantages, with no team establishing clear dominance after the opening rounds. This balanced distribution of strengths sustains the competitive uncertainty among contenders.
