Rockstar's official June 2026 price reveal established the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto VI at $79.99, with an Ultimate Edition at $99.99, directly resolving speculation that the base game would reach $100 or higher. This confirmation, backed by Take-Two Interactive's statements and immediate preorder availability ahead of the November release, created overwhelming trader consensus around the "No" outcome. The $80 tier aligns with recent AAA precedent like Mario Kart World while avoiding the consumer backlash that a three-figure base price might trigger, and historical patterns show Rockstar rarely alters announced pricing this close to launch. A realistic upset remains possible only through an unprecedented last-minute reversal driven by unforeseen market or regulatory pressure, though current preorder data and industry reporting indicate minimal likelihood of such a shift.
