The non-partisan primary election for Governor of Alaska is scheduled to take place on August 18, 2026. The top four candidates in this election by number of votes won will advance to the general election for Governor of Alaska. This market will resolve according to the candidate that wins the most votes in the non-partisan primary election for Governor of Alaska. The named candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidates' last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking. If the results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to “Other.” This market will resolve based on the results of the primary election for Governor of Alaska as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Alaska, specifically the Division of Elections. A crowded nonpartisan top-four primary on August 18, 2026, with 17 candidates fragments the vote and sustains tight trader odds for first place. Recent April polling showed Tom Begich leading at 19 percent, followed by Bernadette Wilson, Dave Bronson, and Click Bishop in the low teens, while Adam Crum, Bill Walker, and others trail. Fundraising reports and candidate filings through early summer, plus the just-released voter guide, underscore limited separation. Republican vote splitting and independent entries further compress probabilities, with no single frontrunner emerging ahead of early voting. Late campaign events or turnout shifts among key blocs could still reorder the field before ballots close.
