The municipal elections scheduled for October 9–10, 2026, will determine the composition of Hradec Králové’s city council, which in turn selects the mayor through post-election coalition negotiations rather than direct popular vote. Incumbent Pavlína Springerová leads a renewed HDK–TOP 09 alliance backed by local teachers and independents, emphasizing continuity in development, investment, and governance. Competing lists include ANO under Lukáš Fiedler, ODS with Martin Soukup, Piráti–STAN led by Kamil Kubica, Náš Hradec with Jan Holásek, and the Změna–Zelení–KDU-ČSL grouping fronted by Martina Erbsová. Trader consensus reflects this fragmentation, with no single bloc holding a clear path to a majority and historical precedent showing fluid alliances after similar Czech local contests. Recent coalition agreements and candidate registrations have clarified options without producing decisive polling leads, keeping probabilities closely balanced ahead of the vote.
