Current atmospheric conditions over southern China, including a subtropical ridge and limited cloud cover with only 25-36% precipitation odds, are supporting daytime heating in Guangzhou well above the late-September climatological average high of 31.8°C. Official forecasts and hourly observations point to a peak near 34-35°C under light easterly winds and high humidity, consistent with recent model consensus from sources tracking regional temperatures. Trader positioning favoring 36°C or 37°C reflects skin-in-the-game assessment of potential upward revisions from urban heat effects or slightly warmer model runs, while lower outcomes remain improbable given the established warm pattern and absence of significant cooling influences through the afternoon measurement window.
