**Market-implied odds favor a 15°C high in Wellington on September 18 at 58%, followed by 14°C (21.5%) and 16°C (17%).** Official MetService guidance and supporting numerical models project a daytime maximum of 15°C under clearing conditions after morning showers, as southerly winds ease following today's frontal passage. This outcome sits modestly above the September climatological average high of roughly 12.5°C. Traders are weighting the latest forecast consensus and expected station observations (typically Kelburn or airport data), with limited upside risk from lingering cloud or wind. Updated model runs overnight and morning observations will provide the final inputs before resolution.
