This market will resolve according to the total number of valid votes cast in the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Colorado. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the results of the specified election are not definitively known by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to the lowest range bracket. All votes certified for candidates or non-candidate options in the specified election are included. Invalidated or blank votes are not included. In ranked-choice or preferential systems, the first-round vote total will be used. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official results of the 2026 midterm election for Senator from Colorado, as published by the state electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election; however, an overwhelming consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Recent primary results showed elevated participation at roughly 36% of active registered voters, driven by contested Democratic Senate and other statewide races, establishing a baseline for general election mobilization in Colorado’s all-mail system. With incumbent John Hickenlooper securing the Democratic nomination over Julie Gonzales and Mark Baisley advancing unopposed on the Republican side, trader sentiment reflects uncertainty over whether the open gubernatorial contest and down-ballot races will sustain or expand that enthusiasm through November. Historical midterm and presidential turnout patterns, combined with the state’s semi-closed primary rules and unaffiliated voter flexibility, keep multiple vote-total brackets clustered near even implied probabilities. Late-cycle catalysts such as candidate debates, economic indicators, or national political developments could shift engagement among key voting blocs and produce clearer separation among the ranges.
