Both the Jets and Dolphins enter the 2026 season in rebuild phases, creating a tightly contested AFC East series. New York’s additions of veteran leaders like Minkah Fitzpatrick and Demario Davis, plus high draft picks such as edge rusher David Bailey, bolster a defense under second-year head coach Aaron Glenn and quarterback Geno Smith. Miami’s overhaul features new coach Jeff Hafley, quarterback Malik Willis, and a run-heavy emphasis around De’Von Achane amid heavy dead cap and a stripped roster. With the teams meeting in Week 7 at MetLife and Week 12 in Miami, the wisdom of crowds reflected in current pricing highlights how roster upgrades, coaching transitions, and divisional matchup dynamics keep a series split or narrow Jets edge as the leading scenarios.
