**AS (Apvienotais Saraksts / United List) holds a commanding lead in trader pricing at 84.5%, reflecting its consistent polling advantage and incumbency as the party of Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs ahead of the October 3, 2026 Saeima election.** Recent polls, including Latvijas Fakti (late August) and SKDS (mid-August), show AS support in the 15–24% range, well ahead of SV (Sovereign Power/Union of New Latvians) at 9–17%, PRO (Progressives) at 8–14%, LPV (Latvia First) at 8–15%, and NA (National Alliance) at 6–11%. This positioning stems primarily from the May 2026 formation of a four-party centre-right coalition under Kulbergs after the prior government collapsed amid disputes over defence handling and stray drones, boosting AS visibility on security and stability issues. The campaign, now in its final month with early voting from September 28, features proportional representation where a 5% threshold applies and the leading party typically anchors coalition talks. AS benefits from governance momentum and voter focus on national security near the Russian border, while trailing parties face fragmentation and lower momentum in the latest surveys. Market odds align closely with these polling trends and historical patterns of incumbency effects in Latvian elections.
