Flavio Bolsonaro leads trader expectations for first place in the Federal District’s October 4 first-round vote, reflecting the region’s consistent right-leaning electorate and his status as the Liberal Party nominee endorsed to continue the family political project. A late-July to early-August local poll showed him statistically tied with Lula at roughly 33 percent each, ahead of Ronaldo Caiado, while national surveys continue to favor the incumbent. June audio revelations linking Bolsonaro to a banker and a temporary rift with Michelle Bolsonaro weighed on his broader numbers, yet these developments appear to have limited lasting effect among Distrito Federal voters. Upcoming debates and the final registration window keep the field fluid, with lower-polling names facing structural barriers to overtaking the top two.
