Recent National Weather Service and supporting model guidance indicate a high near 99°F for Austin on September 14 under partly cloudy skies, south winds of 5–10 mph, and elevated dew points that support strong afternoon heating while limiting full clearing. This places the most likely outcome in the upper 90s, consistent with the market’s leading 98–99°F bin at 37% implied probability, just ahead of 100–101°F at 32.5%. Subtle differences in afternoon cloud cover, boundary-layer moisture, or minor steering changes could determine whether the peak stays below or edges into the low 100s. Historical September 14 averages near 91°F underscore the current anomaly, but the tight spread between the top two bins reflects genuine forecast uncertainty in the final 24 hours before official Austin-Bergstrom observations resolve the market.
