The AFC enters the 2026 season with unusual depth, as executive rankings and projections place the Buffalo Bills atop a crowded group that includes the Denver Broncos, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Houston Texans, and Cincinnati Bengals. Eleven teams are projected for eight or more wins, compressing the margin for error in a conference where division titles and wild-card positioning will determine which squads reach the Divisional Round. Key variables include the Ravens’ new coaching staff and defensive emphasis, the Broncos’ continuity after their recent turnaround, quarterback health across the board, and how quickly bounce-back candidates like the Chiefs and Bengals integrate roster additions. Early-season results and injury updates will quickly reshape implied probabilities in these markets.
