**Recent announcement of a US-Denmark-Greenland security agreement on September 18, 2026, without immediate release of the full text, is the central factor shaping trader views on release timing.** President Trump stated the deal grants the United States permanent basing, access, and overflight rights while barring non-NATO military presence and sensitive investments by adversaries, at no direct cost to Washington. Danish and Greenlandic leaders quickly clarified that the pact preserves sovereignty and territorial integrity, with no land transfer, and confirmed parliamentary steps remain before enforcement. The text is expected to be finalized and signed during the UN General Assembly the following week, though key details on exact military expansion and investment screening mechanisms are still pending. This sequence of announcement followed by delayed formal documentation and upcoming multilateral signing creates the immediate window traders are assessing for public disclosure.
