Early-season parity across Liga FPD keeps the 2026 runner-up market tightly bunched, with Inter de San Carlos edging the implied probability at 49.5% amid a cluster of contenders between 46% and 48.5%. Inter San Carlos sits third in the Apertura table after eight rounds on the strength of a balanced attack and defensive organization, while Puntarenas, Sporting San José, and San Carlos have posted results that sustain their positioning. Saprissa leads the standings with 18 points but appears priced as the likely champion, leaving the second spot open among a group showing similar recent form and limited separation in goal difference or points. No major roster disruptions or coaching shifts have emerged to separate the pack, and upcoming fixtures among mid-table sides could quickly shift momentum in this shallow field.
