Multiple teams remain in play for unrestricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga after the Atlanta Hawks declined his $24.3 million team option in late June, creating a crowded market for the 23-year-old athletic forward. Recent reports highlight interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers with mid-level exception flexibility, the Los Angeles Lakers pursuing shorter-term deals possibly via sign-and-trade, and the Minnesota Timberwolves among other suitors, yet offers have fallen short of Kuminga’s preferred $14–16 million annual range. This uncertainty, combined with his holdout for better minutes and compensation alongside roster needs for versatile wings across contenders, has kept implied probabilities tightly clustered without a dominant landing spot. Trader consensus reflects ongoing negotiations and comparable fits rather than any single frontrunner.
