This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by WNBA rules. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the Women’s National Basketball Association; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Gabby Williams leads the 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year market at 53% implied probability because the expansion Golden State Valkyries post the league’s top defensive rating, with Williams anchoring their perimeter versatility, high steal rate, and mismatch exploitation against elite guards. A’ja Wilson sits at 30% as the three-time prior winner and Las Vegas Aces defensive anchor, continuing to post elite block and steal numbers while deterring paint attacks. Lower-priced contenders such as Angel Reese, Breanna Stewart, and Napheesa Collier trail due to comparatively lower individual defensive impact or team defensive rankings through late August. Trader positioning reflects recent midseason metrics and Valkyries’ sustained defensive edge over the Aces.
