In the 2026 MLB regular season, the runs-scored race remains fragmented with no clear frontrunner as teams approach the final weeks, reflected in the market's dispersed low probabilities across power-oriented hitters and table-setters. James Wood paces the league near 100 runs through mid-August, but contenders like Matt Olson, Pete Crow-Armstrong, and Bryan Reynolds sit close behind amid strong on-base percentages and lineup support from their clubs. Drake Baldwin and Kyle Schwarber top the listed consensus at 2.9% each due to Baldwin's post-injury power surge with the Braves and Schwarber's walks-plus-homers profile for the Phillies, while Yordan Alvarez and Shohei Ohtani factor in via elite plate discipline and RBI opportunities. Remaining schedule strength, potential rest or injury management, and late-season hot streaks continue to shape the wide field.
