Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” commands 77% implied probability for the #2 U.S. Spotify song the week of August 28 because the retro-pop track from the 2024 album Sweet Boy has maintained consistent daily streams in the multi-million range and repeated top-five placements amid a stable competitive landscape. Sustained playlist rotation and catalog momentum continue to drive its position even after earlier 2026 adjustments for suspicious streams tied to prediction-market activity. Newer releases such as Olivia Rodrigo’s “the cure” and “Stupid Song,” Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me,” and Steve Lacy’s “Oh Yeah?” sit at single-digit odds due to lower current velocity, while Tame Impala’s “Loser” at 20% reflects modest recent gains that have not yet closed the gap. The weekly chart locks Thursday, leaving limited room for late surges from country crossover efforts like Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” to alter the outcome.
