**Recent forecasts position overnight lows in Los Angeles on September 9, 2026, in the mid-to-upper 70s°F, aligning closely with the market's leading outcomes of 76-77°F (45.5%) and 78-79°F (27.5%).** A strong heat wave driven by high pressure and reduced marine influence has elevated temperatures across the region following light rain from Hurricane Marie remnants earlier in the week. Official National Weather Service guidance and ensemble models project Wednesday night lows near 76°F at coastal stations such as Los Angeles International Airport, with limited radiational cooling due to elevated dew points and light winds. This represents a significant departure from September climatological normals (average low ~64°F), reflecting the persistent warm advection and suppressed onshore flow. Traders appear to weigh the consensus of short-range models showing minimal cooling potential against the small risk of a stronger sea breeze or model bias that could nudge the minimum a degree or two lower. Upcoming evening updates from the National Weather Service and refined model runs will likely refine these implied probabilities as the 24-hour forecast window narrows.
