Conor McGregor’s extended layoff since 2021 and repeated 2026 return teases, including interest in a potential White House card or July events, have left his next opponent undetermined and kept the market tightly bunched. Frequent speculation around trilogy bouts with Nate Diaz or Max Holloway, a long-rumored matchup with Michael Chandler, and a rematch against Jorge Masvidal sustains interest in those names, while emerging options like Ian Garry reflect discussions about fresh matchups. Recent social media comments from McGregor on accepting a “no-name” opponent or favoring Holloway as a final fight highlight the fluid situation. With no official announcement and multiple stylistically appealing or commercially viable candidates still in play, trader consensus reflects the inherent uncertainty in UFC matchmaking timelines and McGregor’s selective approach.
