OpenAI's confidential S-1 filing in June 2026, following its $852 billion March private valuation from a record $122 billion round, anchors trader expectations for an IPO market cap near or above $1 trillion. Monthly revenue run-rate near $2 billion—with enterprise comprising over 40%—supports growth narratives, though the firm remains unprofitable and faces model leadership questions versus rivals. Sentiment hinges on whether management delays listing into 2027 to secure a higher price, broader tech multiples, Treasury yields, and upcoming catalysts like potential new model releases or regulatory updates. Market-implied odds reflect these execution and macro risks rather than certainty of crossing specific thresholds.
