The tight race for the #2 U.S. Spotify song the week of September 4 shows several tracks clustered near 50% implied probability, highlighting intense competition in streaming metrics and playlist momentum. Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” edges ahead as the current frontrunner, driven by recent release timing and sustained listener engagement, while Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” and Steve Lacy’s “Oh Yeah?” trail at lower odds amid established fanbases and catalog strength. Dolly Parton’s classics like “Jolene” sit in the middle, reflecting periodic viral boosts but limited new promotional activity. Chart trajectory, daily stream velocity, and any late-week spikes from social media or algorithmic pushes remain the key swing factors before final data locks.
