Recent polling indicates a sharp reversal in preferences among Latino men, who shifted toward Republicans in 2024 but now favor Democratic House candidates by roughly 20 points in generic ballot surveys from CNN, Equis Research, and Pew. Economic concerns, particularly cost-of-living pressures and disapproval of administration performance on the economy (net ratings as low as -49 among this group), have driven the change, with some 2024 Republican supporters expressing regret or defection. Overall Hispanic registered voters show a similar Democratic lean of about 23 points in July Pew data. These trends have shaped trader consensus around a substantial Democratic edge for capturing Latino men in the November midterms, though turnout and specific district dynamics remain variables.
