United Russia maintains its position as the clear leader in trader consensus for securing the most seats in the September 18–20 State Duma election, reflecting its entrenched regional structures, incumbency advantages, and the exclusion of genuine opposition figures from the ballot. Recent candidate registration processes have further narrowed competition, with the Supreme Court removing Yabloko and other smaller parties facing barriers, while United Russia has nominated high-profile figures and veterans alongside its standard slate. New People has climbed in independent and state-affiliated polling as a managed alternative attracting urban and younger voters, supporting its second-place market standing, though legacy parties such as the CPRF and LDPR trail significantly. Multi-day voting and procedural controls continue to shape expectations in this low-competition environment.
