Alcaraz, the defending champion without recent match play, showed rust in mixed doubles but remains the consensus favorite to advance deep due to his hard-court dominance and experience. Alexander Zverev assumes the top seed as the freshest elite contender following his French Open title, while Novak Djokovic, Ben Shelton, and Taylor Fritz benefit from the thinned field.
