Early in the 2026-27 Swiss Super League campaign, defensive parity across the 12-team field has kept clean-sheet tallies tightly bunched, with several sides posting one or two shutouts after roughly six rounds. Lugano’s strong start and goalkeeping from David von Ballmoos stand out alongside Lausanne-Sport’s Melvin Mastil, yet high-scoring matches and variable form from teams like Young Boys, Basel, and Sion prevent any clear separation. Squad depth, backline reinforcements, and fixture congestion will shape longer-term consistency, while the league’s typical mix of attacking openness and organized defenses sustains an even contest for the season-long leader in clean sheets.
