**Early in the 2026-27 Liga MX season (Apertura phase), trader consensus for the team with the most clean sheets remains tightly contested among Santos Laguna, Cruz Azul, Atlético San Luis, and several others because defensive outcomes over a full campaign depend on roster stability, goalkeeper form, and tactical consistency rather than a handful of opening matches.** Current short-term stats show América leading with four clean sheets and several sides (Tijuana, Pachuca, Toluca, Guadalajara) on three after seven or eight fixtures, while the market favorites have conceded at higher rates so far. Long-term positioning reflects expectations around experienced backlines, set-piece organization, and historical defensive metrics in Mexico’s top flight, where clean-sheet totals often hinge on low-scoring draws and strong home performances across both the Apertura and Clausura. With roughly 30+ matches remaining per team and variables like injuries, fatigue, and mid-season adjustments still to come, no single side has separated enough to dominate implied probabilities.
