The 2026-27 La Liga campaign has only just begun, with most sides having played one or two fixtures, leaving clean-sheet tallies essentially level across the field and producing the tightly bunched trader consensus. Barcelona opened with a shutout against promoted Elche, while early results show defensive organization from sides such as Sevilla, Alavés and Atlético Madrid. Real Madrid’s new Mourinho-led setup is stressing collective pressing and tracking back, yet the squad is still integrating summer additions. Historical strength from clubs like Athletic Bilbao, Rayo Vallecano and Getafe, combined with promoted teams’ unknown quantity status and post-World Cup recovery variables, keeps the race wide open until more matchweeks establish clearer defensive patterns.
