The 2026-27 Liga FPD Apertura remains tightly contested for most clean sheets because the 10-team field is only eight rounds in, with no club establishing a clear defensive edge. Early results show Inter de San Carlos leading with four clean sheets, followed closely by Sporting San José and others, while league leaders Deportivo Saprissa and Cartaginés have conceded at moderate rates despite strong attacking output. Traditional contenders Alajuelense, Herediano, and Cartaginés retain deep benches and experienced goalkeepers, yet current standings reflect parity across home and away fixtures. Schedule congestion, variable pitch conditions, and the absence of standout injuries to key defenders keep implied probabilities clustered near 50 percent, as traders await clearer separation in the coming weeks.
