The recent August 7 release of First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3 has introduced fresh competition and broader collector interest in the Pokémon TCG starter promo line, creating a near-even split in trader sentiment around Series 1's ungraded Collectr price trajectory through August 31. Secondary market listings currently hover near $60–65 amid fluctuating TCGPlayer and eBay sales, with limited new supply inflows and steady demand from Pokémon enthusiasts keeping momentum balanced. Historical patterns for similar illustration-rare promo sets show modest post-release stabilization rather than sharp gains, while any late-month surge in streaming metrics or social buzz around the franchise could push prices above the implied threshold. Traders are watching final August sales data and platform restocks as the key swing factors before resolution.
