Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” commands overwhelming trader consensus for the Billboard Hot 100’s top spot the week of September 26 thanks to its record-shattering run of 21 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 through the Sept. 12 chart. The country crossover continues to post dominant streaming and radio numbers while holding the longest reign ever for a non-holiday title by a female artist in the genre, outpacing historical benchmarks set by songs like “Old Town Road” and “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” Recent top-10 contenders from Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Morgan Wallen, and Stella Lefty have shown no sustained momentum to displace it. With the tracking week for the Sept. 26 chart now underway, only an unexpected late surge in sales or a major new release could realistically shift the outcome before final data locks.
