Abdul El-Sayed’s strong performance in Kent County during the August 2026 Democratic primary, where he secured a substantial margin over Haley Stevens, has anchored trader expectations that he will carry the county against Republican Mike Rogers in the November general election. Statewide polling averages show El-Sayed holding a narrow lead, with the race viewed as competitive in western Michigan battlegrounds. Rogers retains support in suburban and rural portions of the county, but recent primary results and the open-seat dynamics have shifted implied probabilities toward the Democratic nominee. Other listed candidates and minor-party options remain at even odds pending clearer signals on vote share.
