Persistent hot, humid conditions driven by southerly flow and high pressure favor a minimum temperature near 80°F in Dallas on September 17, aligning with National Weather Service forecasts of 79–82°F overnight lows under mostly clear skies. Elevated dew points near 68–70°F limit radiational cooling, while light winds reduce mixing that could otherwise moderate temperatures. Model consensus shows little change from recent runs, with no approaching cold front to accelerate cooling. Historical September averages near 70°F underscore the current anomaly, though minor forecast adjustments from updated guidance could shift implied probabilities in lower bins if clouds increase or winds strengthen.
